SPRING '11 SCORING UPDATE: Charles Bernstein has completed the score and two songs for "To Beauty," directed by Jess Zakira Wise. Shot by legendary cinematographer Dean Cundey ("Jurassic Park," "Apollo 13"), the live action short film and was inspired by images of German Expressionist painter, Otto Dix. Mr. Bernstein is completing music for final episodes of director Lewis Teague's webisode based feature film "Charlotta TS," (episodes previewed at the Aspen International Film Festival). Other upcoming projects include "The Anita Hill Story" for Oscar winning director Frieda Lee Mock.
NEW AWARD! "Darwin's Darkest Hour" with music by Charles Bernstein has won the 2010 CINE GOLDEN EAGLE AWARD for Best Drama. Also, Mr. Bernstein spoke as a guest at the American Cinematique's recent special screening of the original "A Nightmare on Elm Street," which he scored for director Wes Craven.
Other SCORING NEWS:
Mr. Bernstein (creator of the original "Nightmare on Elm Street" music) has composed a theme for “The Elm Street Legacy,” a new documentary about the making of the “Nightmare on Elm Street” films. It was produced by Elm Street actress Heather Langenkamp and Thommy Hutson, and directed by Daniel Farrants. Watch a YouTube clip of Main Titles. The film features various Elm Street creators, including director Wes Craven, with other filmmakers and actors who contributed to the hit movie series. (Theme available on iTunes CLICK HERE).

FALL UPDATE:
Mr. Bernstein has completed scoring "Darwin's Darkest Hour," season premiere for National Geographic's NOVA series. The 2-hour drama stars Henry Ian Cuisack ("Lost") and Francis O'Conner ("Mansfield Park") as Charles and Emma Darwin.
